Welcome to St Mary’s Parish

ST MARY’S OPENS FOR PUBLIC MASS

St Mary’s is now open for public mass . To comply with Government instructions, contact details for each person attending will be taken for contact tracing.

Please also remember the following:

  • Your temperature will be taken on entering the church. If you are shielding or have any symptoms, please do not consider booking a place.
  • Face Coverings must be worn at all times within the Church (even during Mass)
  • Hands must be sanitized with the sanitizer provided on entry and exit
  • Volunteers will welcome you and direct you to an available place which will ensure social distancing from other visitors
  • A one-way system will be in operation, please follow the signs and instructions of the stewards both on entering and exiting the Church the one-meter distance will be followed at all times.
  • If you can, use the booking system on our website www.stmaryrcpaisley.com especially for Sunday Mass, or phone the chapel house to book.
  • Please follow the instructions of the volunteers at all times.
  •  Congregational singing is now permitted.
  • The Votive Candles can be light if you have you personal lighter.
  • Please, refrain from touching your surroundings.
  • Holy Communion can be received but with a different system in place – this will be explained at Mass. Holy Communion can only be received on hand.
  • Remember, you must exit by the side door at the back of the church, as we will be following a one-way system.

If you are unsuccessful in booking a ticket for mass, please call the chapel house for direction. Those who are still a bit nervous about coming out to a public place, please remember that the bishops have dispensed the Sunday obligation indefinitely. So, you are under no obligation to attend Sunday Mass.

Once again, Fr Jude will like to thank all those who have been generously supporting St Mary’s during this difficult time.

We welcome you back as we keep praying for a lasting solution to the pandemic.
